APC releases guidelines for 2026 presidential primaries, names election committees

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the guidelines for its 2026 presidential primary election and announced the composition of key committees that will oversee the conduct of the exercise.
In a statement on Thursday signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party said the guidelines were approved by its National Working Committee (NWC) in line with the APC constitution, the Electoral Act, and its commitment to a transparent and credible selection process.

The approved framework covers the conduct of the presidential primaries, as well as the appointment of members of the Presidential Primary Election Committee and the Appeal Committee. It also includes the designation of state coordinators and collation officers who will supervise the exercise across the country.
The party said the arrangements are aimed at ensuring an orderly and transparent process ahead of the 2026 presidential primaries.
