APC tells Ondo youths to register for PVC ahead of 2027 polls

The South-West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed to youths in Ondo State to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The party said the call became necessary following the reopening of the Continuous Voter Registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across the country.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the South-West APC Youth Leader, Daramola Adesuyi, urged young people to take advantage of the exercise and participate actively in the democratic process.

He described the PVC as an important tool for every eligible voter, stressing that citizens cannot vote in elections without it.

Adesuyi said, “Beyond being an electoral document, the PVC is also a valid means of identification and a symbol of civic participation in governance”.

He added, “The strength of democracy depends on active participation by citizens, especially young people, through voter registration and turnout during elections”.

The APC chieftain also directed party youth leaders, student groups and stakeholders across the South-West to mobilise members for the final phase of the registration exercise.

According to him, the exercise would also give eligible voters the opportunity to update registration details or replace lost and damaged voter cards ahead of the next elections.
