The Nigerian Army has urged youths in Ondo State to take advantage of its ongoing 91 regular recruitment intake exercise, describing it as an opportunity to build a career while contributing to national security.

The call was contained in a statement issued by the Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 32 Artillery Brigade, Major Njoka Irabor, who appealed to young men and women in the state to participate in the exercise, noting that the recruitment, which is open to trades and non-trades applicants, is aimed at attracting disciplined and committed Nigerians willing to serve the country.

According to the statement, “This exercise presents a golden opportunity for patriotic young men and women to serve their fatherland, pursue rewarding careers, and contribute to the peace and security of Nigeria.”

The Army stressed that it remains focused on recruiting vibrant youths who embody values such as loyalty, integrity, courage and selfless service, adding that an enlistment into the force offers more than just national service, indicating that successful candidates would benefit from professional training and career development across various fields.

“Enlistment into the Nigerian Army not only provides the honour of serving the nation but also grants access to professional training, career advancement, and diverse opportunities in fields such as Engineering, Medicine, Information and Communication Technology, Logistics and Administration among others,” the statement added.

The Army further disclosed that the online registration for the recruitment exercise commenced on March 30 and will close on May 17, 2026, urging interested applicants to apply through its official portal.

While warning against fraudulent activities, the statement emphasised that the recruitment process is free of charge and cautioned applicants against dealing with middlemen.

The Army ended its announcement by calling on traditional rulers, community leaders, parents and guardians to sensitise and encourage eligible youths to participate in the exercise.
