Grammy-winning singer Wizkid has hailed fellow artiste Asake, describing him as a blessing to Africa.

During a recent appearance on Apple Music Radio alongside DJ Tunez, Wizkid described Asake as one of Africa’s and the world’s most gifted vocalists.

Wizkid revealed that Asake’s song Omo Ope initially caught his attention, but said Remember has become his favourite track by the singer.

He expressed admiration for Asake’s talent, stating that the artiste is a blessing to African music.

He said, “Omo Ope made me an Asake fan from the first listen. But my favourite Asake song is Remember. I think you have to play that one at my wedding. It is an amazing record.

“You are amazing. You have one of the most special voices from home (Africa) and in the world. I have told you that like a million times, and I am saying it again on the radio. You are a blessing to African music.”
