Barcelona won their 32nd Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey) in dramatic fashion on Saturday evening.

Barca defeated arch-rivals Real Madrid 3-2 in Saturday night’s final at the Estadio La Cartuja.

In a thrilling final duel, Barca triumphed with an extra-time winner, courtesy of Jules Kounde, who scored in the 116th minute to earn his side the title.

Barca drew first blood in the 28th minute through Pedri, before Real levelled in the 70th minute through Kylian Mbappe.

Seven minutes later, the tide changed in Real’s favour as Aurelien Tchouameni fired them into the lead, but Ferran Torres drew Barcelona level six minutes from regulation time to drag the game into extra time.

With four minutes left on the clock, Kounde broke Los Blancos’ hearts with Barca’s third of the night — a screamer from outside the box — and that proved to be the decisive strike.

The defeat meant that Real Madrid have only La Liga to fight for this season, having previously crashed out of the Champions League, while Barcelona could finish with a treble, with La Liga and the Champions League still within reach.
