BBNaija season 9: Chinwe, Zion reconcile after Rift

By Tosin Brown

Big Brother Naija “No Loose Guard” housemates and lovebirds, Chinwe and Zion, have reconciled, sharing a kiss after resolving their recent rift.

Following advice from Toby and other housemates, the pair made amends on Friday night.

While discussing their differences on their bed, Chinwe and Zion talked through their issues and eventually made peace. They sealed the reconciliation with a hug and kiss, much to the delight of fans and viewers.

“You don’t have a problem with people poking me, but you have a problem with me defending myself,” Chinwe began.

In response, Zion said, “You’re saying I don’t see a problem with people poking at you, but what did I do downstairs when Chizoba insulted you?”

Chinwe countered, saying, “She insulted me, and I insulted her back. Don’t make it seem like I started it—it was action and reaction.”

Admitting Chinwe’s point, Zion agreed, “Yeah, she insulted you, and you insulted her back. Then she insulted you again…”

Chinwe retorted, “And when I insulted her back, what did you say? You said, ‘No, no, no, it’s not an insult. It’s not an insult.’ That’s what you said.”

Zion claimed he had told Chizoba to shut up, but Chinwe insisted he hadn’t.

After the heated exchange, Chinwe eventually apologized, and the couple reconciled.

“I’m sorry, baby,” she said as they hugged and kissed.

The tension between the couple began on Thursday after Chinwe accused Zion of not supporting her during a feud with fellow housemates Onyeka and Chizoba. She had even threatened to break up with Zion and leave the show, claiming he first threatened to end their relationship if she didn’t apologize to Chizoba.

On Friday morning, Chinwe revealed she had informed Biggie of her decision to leave the show.
