Boxing: Ilorin anticipates excitement for Emirate Pan-African title clash

Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, is set to host the Yucateco Emirate Pan-African boxing title contest, stirring excitement across the city and beyond.
This event, the first of its kind in Kwara State, will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Emir’s Palace, scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
The contest is organized in celebration of the 29th coronation anniversary of Mai Martaba Sarkin Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, CFR.
YUCATECO BOXING PROMOTION’s Kwara Ambassador, Odelana Olaoluwa Peter, popularly known as “Peteru Sports,” shared that alongside the main bouts in Season 2 of the Yucateco boxing league, the event will feature various attractions for fans.
Odelana highlighted that over 50 lucky spectators at the event will win cash prizes of #5000, as well as customized T-shirts and face caps.
To be eligible for prizes, spectators must first log onto Yucateco TV on YouTube to watch previous matches, as quiz questions will be based on these bouts.
Kwara-born boxers will face off against opponents from across Africa in this Emirate Pan-African contest. The Yucateco Nigerian Boxing League, recognized as the top boxing league on the continent, continues to draw interest from fans and fighters across Africa, eagerly awaiting the excitement of another Yucateco event.
