BREAKING: APC leaders visit Ooni, seek support ahead of 2027

Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Sunday joined prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress in a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, as part of consultations ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The delegation, which visited the monarch at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, was led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, the director-general of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.
The meeting was aimed at seeking the support of the traditional ruler for Tinubu’s second-term ambition as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Among those who accompanied Yari and Aiyedatiwa were former APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje; Osun State Deputy Governor, Kola Adewusi; and former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
Others included former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Olubunmi Etteh; former Sokoto State Governor, Aliyu Wamakko; former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; and former Gombe State Governor, Danjuma Goje.
