JUST IN: APC strategist Jesutega Onokpasa passes away

Jesutega Onokpasa, a prominent lawyer and influential member of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has died.
News of his passing was announced on Tuesday by Okezie Atani, a pro-APC supporter, who disclosed on social media that the outspoken political commentator died on Monday.
Onokpasa was known for his passionate defense of the APC and his regular appearances in the media as a political analyst.
He is survived by his wife and children.
Tributes have poured in from political associates and support groups, including a statement from the UK-based “Renewed Hope United Kingdom” platform. The group described Onokpasa’s death as a significant loss to Nigeria’s political and legal community.
“His contributions to the APC Publicity Committee and the Presidential Campaign Council in 2023 highlighted his deep commitment to party ideals and national progress,” the tribute read. “He was an engaged public voice who helped shape the political discourse.”
