BREAKING: Nine surveyors abducted in Ondo regain freedom

Nine surveyors abducted in Akure, the Ondo State capital, have regained their freedom.
WESTERN POST recalls that the victims were kidnapped a week ago while working on-site at Ilu-Abo in Akure North Local Government Area.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N100 million for their release. However, after prolonged negotiations, they reportedly accepted N20 million.
Their release was confirmed by Pastor Ajibade Owolanke, brother to the Ejemikin of Akure, High Chief Oluwole Omotayo. He stated that the victims have reunited with their families.
Meanwhile, the police had yet to issue a statement at the time of filing this report.
