BREAKING: Tinubu presides over second FEC meeting, swears in three new ministers

President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the presidential villa in Abuja.

This is the second FEC meeting since the president was sworn in on May 29.

The president who arrived at the meeting which is being held at the Council Chambers at 12:02 pm also had in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume.

Akume announced that the FEC meeting would commence after the swearing in of three new ministers.

The Senate had confirmed the appointment of three ministers Balarabe Lawal (Kaduna), Ayodele Olawande (Ondo), and Jamila Ibrahim (Kwara).

Lawal would occupy the position of minister of the environment, Ibrahim would have the position of minister of youth, while Olawande would hold the position of minister of state for youth.

The ministers’ citiations would be read which will be followed by their oaths taking.

The swearing in ceremony is being anchored by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
