BREAKING: Violence erupts in Oyo as hoodlums attack ex-Deputy Gov Gbolarumi’s residence

Chaos erupted in Oyo State on Saturday as thugs attacked the residence of former Deputy Governor Alhaji Hazim Gbolarumi in Bodija.
Eyewitnesses told WESTERN POST that the assailants targeted Gbolarumi’s home and left at least 25 people injured with properties worth millions destroyed.
Confirming the incident, Professor Abdulrahman Akinoso, chairman of the Wike-aligned PDP faction in Oyo, confirmed the attack on Obalarumi’s compound.
According to him, the attack is not an isolated occurrence as hoodlums have been moving through local governments, targeting the homes of individuals and causing similar destruction.
Similarly, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident, noting that security operatives are on top of the situation.
Reacting to the issue, residents stressed that the incident has heightened political tension in Oyo State ahead of the forthcoming elections, and are urging law enforcement agencies to step in and restore order.
