CAF Award 2024: Super Falcons win, Super Eagles lose in National Team category
It was a contrasting night for Nigeria in the CAF Team of the Year category as the country won the female version but lost the male version to Cote D’Iviore.
At the 2024 CAF Award ceremony held in Marrakech, Morroco, Nigeria’s women national side, the Super Falcons won the Women’s National Team of the Year award after an impressive 2024.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau who received the award dedicated it to First Lady Oluremi Tinubu.
In the men’s version, the Super Eagles were not that lucky as they were beating to the prize by African champions, Ivory Coast.
Ivory Coast beat the Super Eagles and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana to win the award.
