Ahead of the decisive second-leg tie of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier against Ghana’s Black Galaxies, five players have been drafted to strengthen the Nigerian Super Eagles B team.

The Super Eagles B, led by coaches Daniel Ogunmodede and Fidelis Dilichukwu, held the Ghanaians to a goalless draw in the first leg played last Sunday in Accra.

With the winner-takes-all return leg scheduled for this Saturday at the Goodwill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, the team’s technical crew has bolstered the squad by including five fresh players in a bid to secure victory.

Top among the new additions is Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) forward Samuel Ayanrinde. Fondly called “Oja,” the towering striker showcased his prowess by scoring twice and providing two assists in two friendly matches before the first leg.

Joining Ayanrinde are Rangers International’s Kazeem Ogunleye, Plateau United’s Vincent Temitope, Abia Warriors’ Megwo Sunday, and Kwara United FC’s Gbadamosi Badmos.

With these reinforcements, the Super Eagles B are optimistic about clinching a crucial win to advance in the competition.
