Charly Boy, Dino Melaye in war of words

Media personality and activist, Charly Boy, has engaged former senator Dino Melaye in a war of words on X.

Melaye responded in full force following Charly Boy’s criticism of his flamboyant lifestyle.

The exchange began on May 13 after Melaye declared in a video that he is a “limited edition.” In the video, he said, “There’s no one else like me. I’m limited edition.”

Charly Boy fired the first shot, suggesting that Melaye might be suffering from depression despite his wealth. He added that not all mental illnesses are visible.

In what appeared to be a response, Melaye dismissed Charly Boy’s remarks and claimed the former singer-turned-activist is desperate for relevance. He also taunted Charly Boy, saying his destiny “has been thrown inside a freezer.”

“Who is Charly Boy? Is it the name of a noun, animal, place, or thing? What kind of Charly Boy?

“… I heard he has a leaking roof but no money to fix it. He parks a big bike in front of his house like a statue and doesn’t see that as a show-off. He just wants to use my name to gain popularity because his destiny has been thrown inside a freezer.”

The exchange has sparked widespread reactions online.
