Chima Udoye wins ninth season of Nigerian Idol

Chima Udoye has been crowned the winner of the ninth season of Nigerian Idol, triumphing after months of intense competition among some of Nigeria’s best performers and vocalists in the 2024 edition of the show. The announcement was made during the grand finale held on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
The finale kicked off with a powerful performance by the top 10 contestants, who delivered a rendition of John Legend’s “Glory.”
The evening then moved to highlight past winners, with Season 7 winner Progress performing alongside the Bigi Idol winner, and Season 8 winner Victory Gbakara presenting an original song he wrote before his season’s finale.
Guest performances by Chike and Simi added to the night’s excitement, followed by standout performances from the top three finalists. Ultimately, the moment came when Chima Udoye was crowned the winner.
Known for his onstage charisma and remarkable vocal skills, Chima consistently impressed judges 9ice, Omawumi, and Ric Hassani throughout the competition.
His ability to captivate audiences and deliver flawless performances secured him the coveted title of Nigerian Idol Season 9 winner.
