Community dwellers nab man with bag of ladies underwear in Ondo

Residents of Owo community, in Ondo State, reportedly intercepted a suspected ritualist named Joseph with a bag filled with women underwear on Sunday.
The incident created a buzz online after a blogger, Oluwaseun Ogunmola, widely known as Ogbeni OB Sugar, uploaded a video capturing the interrogation process of the accused with locals.
In the viral clip, the man explained that he had travelled from Akoko to Owo in search of work and claimed he picked up the items near a spot where he had gone to bathe.
He also alleged that a mentally unstable woman gave him the bag after he had an encounter with her, an explanation that further raised suspicion among people at the scene due to its absurdity.
Witnesses said some youths accused him of engaging in suspected ritual practices associated with internet fraud, popularly referred to as “Yahoo Plus,” an allegation Joseph denied.
Tension reportedly rose as an angry crowd attempted to assault the suspect before other residents stepped in to calm the situation and prevent mob action.
At the moment, there is no confirmation that Joseph has been transferred to the authorities, and no official statement has been released concerning the incident.
