COP27: Rwanda raises $104m in green investment

Rwanda has raised $104m in green investment that will be put in projects that support climate change at the ongoing Climate conference in Egypt.

The money was raised at the launch of Ireme Invest by President Paul Kagame who led his country’s delegation.

Rwanda’s green investment facility raised the unexpected amount in its first capitalization.

In a post on his social media accounts, President Kagame wrote: “The facility will invest in private sector led green growth in Rwanda by availing sustainable finance.”
