Court Verdict Fallout: Wike-backed PDP BoT fixes crucial meeting in Abuja

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will meet in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to a notice signed by the BoT Chairman, Mao Ohuabunwa, the meeting is scheduled to hold at 2 p.m. in Abuja.

“This serves to formally invite all members of the Board of Trustees of our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, to a meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 2 p.m. The venue is 1, Sabo Ago Street, LifeCamp, Abuja,” the notice stated.

Ohuabunwa said the meeting is being convened by the BoT recognised by the party’s caretaker leadership.

“Note that this is the only BoT recognised as constituted by the Abdulrahman/Anyanwu-led National Caretaker Working Committee pursuant to the Federal High Court decision and ratified by the Court of Appeal in Abuja,” he said.

He also cautioned members against responding to any other invitations.

“Kindly ignore any other notice purporting to call for a meeting of the BoT,” the notice added.

The BoT chairman further stated that attendance would be strictly limited to duly notified board members.

He said only accredited BoT members would be allowed into the meeting venue and advised non-members to stay away.
