Davido: Four highlights of singer’s traditional wedding to Chioma

Afrobeats music star, Davido has exchanged marital vows with heartthrob, Chioma Rowland after he first revealed their relationship to the public in 2018.

In a lavish traditional wedding, which was held at the Harbour Point event centre on Victoria Island, Lagos, the Adeleke and the Rowland family united as the singer exchanged marital vows with Chioma in Igbo and Yoruba traditions.

The ceremony saw the couple looking regal while guests included several dignitaries led by Davido’s favourite uncle and governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke. Other guests at the wedding include Udom Emmanuel, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Godwin Obaseki, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, Senator Daisy Danjuma and Seyi Tinubu. Notable celebrities at the event include Cubana Chief Priest, Obi Cubana, B-Red and his personal friend cum aide, Lati, and Pretty Mike.

Davido weeps

The groom, Davido couldn’t help the tears as the droplets of emotions flowed ceaselessly while his father-in-law prayed for their union.

“Lord I know he is flawed, please help sustain this union,” he prayed.

Davido’s entrance

Davido, as always, sure know how to make an entrance. He got into the venue of the ceremony riding in one of his several luxurious automobiles, an open-roof Maybach. He was dressed in a full traditional Igbo attire and was enjoying the cheers from fans and admirers, who escorted the vehicle into the venue.

GAC surprises Davido and Chioma with a car gift

Another highlight of the wedding ceremony was the moment when GAC Motors gifted the couple a brand new Sport Utility Vehicle.

The caption read, “GAC Motor Nigeria Gift Davido & wife a brand new GAC Motor 2024 GN8 MPV as a wedding gift,” the automobile company announced on X.

In the same vein, the Chairman of CIG Motors Group, Chief Diana Chen expressed his felicitations to the group via the microblogging site.

The gift car is a white SUV with the tag CHIVIDO and was unveiled during the ceremony after the couple received blessings from their parents.
