Doguwa backs Tinubu, Abba Yusuf’s re-election, says Kano APC now united

Alhassan Ado Doguwa, a member of the House of Representatives, has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf in 2027, insisting that political forces in his constituency have united under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Doguwa, who represents Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency and is a former House Majority Leader, said the growing unity within the party would strengthen its chances of securing victories at all levels in the next general election.
He spoke in a viral video while addressing his constituents in Kano State over the weekend.

“Promoting sectional politics, we will not take that, and we have every reason to support the APC and vote for President Bola Tinubu and all other candidates under the platform of the APC,” he said.
Doguwa said former political opponents in Doguwa and Tudun Wada had come together under the APC, creating what he described as a stronger political bloc ahead of the 2027 elections.
He cited the Doguwa local government chairman, APC state chairman Alhaji Umar Haruna, retired Air Commodore Salisu Yusha’u and the Tudun Wada local government chairperson, Hajiya Sa’adatu Salisu Yusha’u as examples of political figures now aligned with the ruling party.
“To sum it up, we have now come of age and also gotten a level playing field because all forces in the opposition and those huge forces within us now and before have converged under one umbrella and on one page,” he said.
“We are now operating as a family and as a democratically elected group of people, and we will continue to ensure that victory comes to APC from top to bottom.”
