Easter: Lagos NSCDC to deploy 2,250 personnels for adequate security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, says 2,250 personnels would be deployed to strategic locations to ensure adequate security and protection for critical national assets during the easter celebration in the State.

A statement issued on Thursday by the Command’s Spokesman, Oluwaseun Abodorin, said it was important to ensure speedy deployment of security personnel during such kind of celebrations.

State Commandant, Adedotun Keshinro while addressing officers and men from various departments, units and tactical squads, stated that operational strategies have been re – invigorated to rid the state of criminals and eradicate the nefarious activities of vandals and other criminal elements that could be inimical to its economic growth and development especially, at this crucial season and after.

He said the Command would also be collaborating with other sister security agencies across the state to achieve optimal success.

” Officers and men of the Command have also been charged, to bring the right and appropriate impetus on board to protect all strategic locations, points, facilities, right of ways, oil pipeline installations, religious and worship centres, parks and gardens and all assets belonging to the Federal, State and Local Governments of Nigeria, in the state,
before, during and after the celebration.

“The Lagos State Command has assured all the good people of the state that it will not also rest on its oarse at this period but rather deploy both physical and non – physical assets; robust intelligence gathering, intensive patrols – physical and psychological, crime prevention mechanisms, Special responses by Special Female Squad ( SFS ), Quick Intervention Squad approach (QIS) and collective security approach, to ensure a holistic security and safety during and after the celebration.

“The Lagos State Commandant has also seized, the celebration to congratulate the Christian faithfuls, in the state and admonished all to imbibe the tenets of our Lord Jesus Christ, which characterize this season such as; love, sacrifice, passion, humility, tolerance amongst others”, the statement read.
