Edun applauds indigenous oil sector firm, assures FG support

The Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, recently visited the operational base of Lee Engineering & Construction Company Limited in Warri, Delta State.

Under the leadership of Founder and Group Chairman, Dr. Leemon Ikpea, Lee Engineering is a leading indigenous firm specializing in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (EPCOM) services in Nigeria’s oil, gas, and power sectors.

Accompanied by Mr. Donald Wokoma, Registrar/CEO of the Equipment Leasing Registration Authority (ELRA), Edun toured the company’s state-of-the-art fabrication yard and commended its contributions to local manufacturing and industrial development.

He assured the management of President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to promoting indigenous production, aligning with the administration’s drive to strengthen Nigeria’s economy by encouraging investment from domestic entrepreneurs.

The minister also emphasized the economic advantages of resuming domestic crude oil refining, particularly in producing industrial raw materials essential for economic growth.

In response to Lee Engineering’s request for government support, Edun reaffirmed the administration’s dedication to advancing local manufacturing, emphasizing that the Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes industrial development as a key driver of job creation and economic expansion.
