Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in the state and beyond on the successful completion of Ramadan, describing it as a divine grace for spiritual rejuvenation.

In his Eid-El-Fitr message signed by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor rejoiced with Muslim faithful for the ease with which Allah enabled the observance of one of Islam’s pillars. He urged them to sustain the values of selflessness and generosity practiced during the holy month.

Adeleke called on the people of Osun to use the festive occasion to pray for peace and sustainable development in the state and Nigeria as a whole. He also urged the Muslim community to seek Allah’s guidance in countering attempts by self-serving politicians to disrupt the state’s progress.

He encouraged citizens not to be discouraged by the actions of those seeking to reverse the progress made in Osun but to maintain faith in Allah, who is all-powerful. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to advancing the state’s development.

“In praise of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, I rejoice with the Osun Muslim Ummah for the grace of witnessing the conclusion of this year’s holy month of Ramadan. The 29 days of fasting draw us closer to Allah in worship and reinforce the significance of charity,” Adeleke stated.

“While the time for celebration is here, it is important to emphasize that the invaluable lessons of Ramadan should be upheld. Let the culture of selfless service, peace, and love for humanity be reflected in our daily lives.”

He further urged Muslims to celebrate modestly and extend generosity to those struggling to make ends meet, ensuring that the spirit of the festive season reaches every home.

“In accordance with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), let us extend a helping hand to those in need so that the joy of this moment spreads to all,” he added.
