  1. The recent commitment by Bode Ojajuni to uphold discipline, professionalism, and zero tolerance for corruption and human rights violations is a welcome development for residents of Ogun State.
Sir, you are warmly welcome to the state. Your assurances have given many citizens renewed hope in fair and effective policing. There is, however, a pressing issue affecting communities in Ijebu Ode and surrounding areas that urgently requires your attention.
For some time now, there have been repeated reports of activities by groups commonly referred to as “Ajagungbale,” who allegedly invade family lands and forcibly take possession of properties that are subject to inheritance disputes. These actions often involve the illegal acquisition of large portions of land, destruction of property, and intimidation of rightful owners.
More concerning is the reported disregard for the rule of law—ignoring court summons, disobeying High Court orders, and acting with a sense of impunity. Such actions not only undermine the authority of the judiciary but also threaten peace and security within affected communities.
In line with your stated commitment to discipline and justice, we respectfully appeal for decisive intervention. Strengthening enforcement against unlawful land grabbing, ensuring compliance with court rulings, and holding offenders accountable will go a long way in restoring public confidence.
The people of Ijebu and Ogun State at large are willing to support the police with credible information and cooperation to address this challenge. We trust that under your leadership, justice will prevail, and law-abiding citizens will be protected.
Once again, welcome, sir, and we wish you success in your service to the people.
