Enugu Governor Mbah joins APC Tuesday
Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will formally defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
The new caretaker committee chairman of the Enugu State APC, Dr Ben Nwoye, confirmed the development to newsmen at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
Nwoye disclosed that the governor would officially join the party on Tuesday alongside federal and state lawmakers, the state executive council members, and ward and local government leaders across Enugu State.
The APC National Working Committee (NWC) on Thursday dissolved the Enugu State Working Committee (SWC) over unresolved differences, appointing a seven-member caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the party.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, and Deputy National Chairman (South), Hon. Emma Eneukwu has inaugurated the seven-man caretaker committee.
