Prominent figures from the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) have declared their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, applauding his reform efforts and pledging their continued loyalty beyond 2027.
Speaking at a press briefing in Abuja, the group—led by former Nasarawa State governor and senator, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura—described Tinubu’s leadership as a “working presidency” committed to delivering on its promises.
Al-Makura emphasized that the CPC bloc within the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains united and fully aligned with the current administration’s objectives.
He urged Nigerians to support the president’s Renewed Hope Agenda and exercise patience as the government addresses the country’s economic and social challenges.
Notable CPC stalwarts at the briefing included Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, former Katsina governor Aminu Bello Masari, former House of Representatives Minority Leader Faruk Adamu Aliyu, and NDLEA Chairman, General Buba Marwa (rtd.), among others.
