Family planning key to financial, emotional stability – TCI

A non-governmental organisation, The Challenge Initiative (TCI), has intensified its campaign on family planning in an Osun community, highlighting its role in promoting financial, emotional, and mental stability for families.

According to TCI family planning mobilisers, during their monthly campaign in the Olosan community of Osogbo Local Government, family planning empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their reproductive health, leading to better health outcomes for mothers and children.

The Assistant Team Lead of the mobilisers, Adewuyi Ibrahim, emphasized that family planning contributes significantly to overall family stability.

“Family planning ensures family stability through spacing pregnancies and safeguarding the well-being of children. It also supports the financial, emotional, and mental stability of families,” he said.

While educating women on the benefits of family planning, Ibrahim noted that it contributes to economic development, reduces poverty, and promotes gender equality.

He acknowledged TCI’s commitment to the campaign and disclosed that it has been yielding positive results, with more families embracing family planning in the area.

He assured that TCI mobilisers would continue their efforts to educate women on the importance and benefits of family planning.

Many of the women who showed interest were given the “TCI Gold Card,” which they can present at the nearest primary health care centre for further assistance.
