FG committed to Plateau’s peace, economic growth – VP Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring lasting peace and economic development in Plateau State.
He made this statement on Saturday in Jos during a condolence visit to Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, National Chairman of the Council of Ulama, Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa’Ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), following the passing of Sheikh Saidu Hassan Jingir.
Shettima, who led a federal delegation to Plateau, conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s condolences and reassured the people of the state of the administration’s dedication to national stability and progress.

“President Tinubu specifically directed me to extend his heartfelt condolences and to emphasize that this administration places a high priority on Plateau’s peace and economic prosperity,” he said.
He commended the Plateau State Government’s peace-building efforts, noting that without stability, development cannot be achieved.

“We acknowledge and applaud the state government’s commitment to sustaining peace. The Federal Government will continue to support these initiatives to ensure long-term stability,” Shettima added.
“I want to assure all Nigerians that better days lie ahead. The economic measures being implemented are showing positive signs, and we ask for your continued patience and support,” he said.

Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, in response, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for their visit, describing it as a demonstration of compassionate leadership.
