FG forms committee to improve consumer credit

A Technical Working Committee has been set up by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu to boost Consumer Credit.
The committee, headed by the Finance Minister, Mr Olawale Edun, and supported by the Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy Minister, Dr ‘Bosun Tijani, has five months to deliver on various targets, such as increasing financial inclusion and access.
The committee also aims to tackle corruption issues to stimulate economic growth.
To accomplish these objectives, the committee will work on creating a policy framework, integrating data, and strengthening both institutional and legal frameworks.
The committee comprises other members such as Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Trade and Investment Minister, and Mr. Zaach Adedeji, the FIRS Executive Chairman, among others.
