Gianni Infantino, President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), has expressed strong confidence in Malam Shehu Dikko’s capability to excel as Chairman of Nigeria’s National Sports Commission (NSC).

In a congratulatory message sent on Thursday, October 31, Infantino highlighted Dikko’s extensive knowledge, experience, passion, and personal qualities, which he believes will significantly impact his new role.

Infantino noted widespread support for Dikko’s appointment and conveyed his “best of luck and every success” as Dikko embarks on this responsibility.

FIFA’s confidence in Dikko is rooted in his notable contributions to global sports, including his ongoing role on FIFA’s Stakeholders Committee since 2017 and service on the IFAB-FIFA Experts Panel in 2020.

Dikko is also the longest-serving member of the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Organising Committee for Inter-Club Competitions and the CAF Club Licensing Committee since 2016.
