First Lady pays condolence visit to Ojora family

First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late industrialist, Chief Adekunle Ojora, describing him as a devout Muslim who consistently promoted religious harmony throughout his lifetime.

In a statement issued by her Senior Special Assistant on Media, Busola Kukoyi, the First Lady extolled the virtues of the late elder statesman during the visit to the family residence in Ikoyi, Lagos, noting that his legacy of unity and peaceful coexistence would remain enduring.

She was received by the deceased’s daughter, Toyin Saraki, and her husband, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki.

Speaking during the visit, Senator Tinubu conveyed the condolences of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and herself to the bereaved family.

“You have always been in my mind and that of the President. We cannot forget him. He was always there with us as a family. This is also my family,” she said.

She added that the late Ojora would be remembered for his wise counsel, unwavering support, and the significant roles he played over the years.

The First Lady also offered words of comfort to the widow of the deceased, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, commending her strength as the matriarch of the family. She described the couple’s relationship as inspirational, noting that many admired their bond.

Recalling her encounters with the late Otunba of Lagos at church services despite his being a devout Muslim, Senator Tinubu said the family had much to be proud of, given his remarkable contributions as an industrialist and a promoter of religious harmony in both words and deeds.
