Florence Ajimobi sympathises with Yinka Ayefele over Fresh FM fire incident

Former First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, has expressed deep sadness over the fire outbreak that gutted Fresh FM, owned by gospel singer and broadcaster, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, in Ibadan over the weekend.
In a statement, Mrs. Ajimobi described the incident as a tragic loss not only to Dr. Ayefele and his team but also to the people of Oyo State who hold the station in high regard.
“I received with deep sadness the news of the fire incident at Fresh FM, a beloved radio station founded by the renowned gospel artist and broadcaster, Dr. Yinka Ayefele. My heart goes out to Dr. Ayefele, the management, staff, and listeners of Fresh FM during this challenging time,” she said.
She praised Fresh FM as a pillar of quality broadcasting, commending its role in uplifting residents through music, news, and community engagement. According to her, the station has become a pride of Oyo State for its entertainment value and public service.
Mrs. Ajimobi also urged relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the fire and put preventive measures in place to avert future occurrences.
She called on well-meaning individuals and organizations to rally round Dr. Ayefele and support efforts to rebuild the media institution.
