Captain of Nigeria’s U-20 team, Daniel Bameyi, says the Flying Eagles are determined to beat title holders Senegal in their African U-20 Cup of Nations quarter-final clash in Egypt.

Speaking ahead of the crucial tie, Bameyi emphasized the team’s focus and belief. “We’ve come this far by staying disciplined and focused. Now that it’s Senegal, we know what’s at stake. It’s all about getting the job done and taking that next step,” he said.

The Flying Eagles arrived in Ismailia on Thursday for Monday’s clash after finishing second in Group B with five points, behind leaders Morocco.

Nigeria reached the quarterfinals after a 2-2 draw against Kenya’s Rising Stars, while Senegal topped their group with a perfect record.

The Nigeria vs Senegal showdown is expected to be one of the tournament’s most intense fixtures, given both teams’ physical and tactical strengths.
