Fuel scarcity bites harder in Osun

Motorists and residents now groan in Osogbo, Osun State capital as fuel scarcity continued to bite harder.

Both commercial drivers and car owners spend hours to queue at filling stations.

WesternPost gathered that many fillings stations are selling above the approved pump price of N165, they are selling between N200-N250 per litre.

But, the major marketers like Bovas, NIPCO, Total, Matrix are selling the fuel beteeen N162- N165.

Although many of these major marketers are not selling because they are short of supply.

Investigation conducted round the state capital revealed that major marketers like NIPCO, Matrix are selling with a long queue, while the gates were shut in many of the independent marketers filling stations.

Few vehicles now ply the roads as many motorists spend better part of the time at the filling stations queueing for fuel.

Although, many marketers are not selling fuel into kegs for buyers as a way of curbing illegal sellers who will resell at exorbitant price.
