FULL LIST of over 20 properties belonging to late Alao-Akala

A legal dispute has emerged over the estate of former Adebayo Alao-Akala, revealing an extensive portfolio of properties across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ghana.
The dispute reportedly followed proceedings at an Oyo State High Court, where the late politician’s first daughter, Oluwatoyin Alao Aderinto, challenged the administration of the estate and sought judicial intervention.
According to court filings, Aderinto listed several family members as defendants, including the deceased’s wife, Oluwakemi Alao-Akala, and daughter, Olamide Alabi, who were identified as executors and administrators of the estate.
Aderinto told the court that she holds both legal and equitable interests in her late father’s estate as his first daughter.
She alleged that some of the assets had already been sold without her consent, while plans were ongoing to dispose of other properties or enter joint venture arrangements involving the estate.
She further argued that urgent court intervention was necessary to prevent additional transactions that could undermine her interest, warning that failure to grant an injunction could lead to irreversible losses.
The late Alao-Akala, who served as governor of Oyo State, died on January 12, 2022, in Ogbomoso at the age of 71. Since his death, disagreements have continued among family members regarding the administration and distribution of his assets.
Among the properties listed in the dispute are residences in Ibadan, Abuja, and Lagos, including houses in Asokoro, Ikoyi, Ikeja, and Surulere, as well as a guest house in Agodi GRA, Ibadan. Other assets include filling stations, farmland, warehouses, and large tracts of land in Ogbomoso and Ibadan.
The list also includes international properties such as buildings in Jamaica, Queens, New York, United States, and Chafford Hundred, Essex, England, alongside a five-star hotel in Ghana.
Additional assets reportedly linked to the estate include media and financial establishments, notably Parrot FM in Ogbomoso and Olowolagba Microfinance Bank.
The case continues in court as parties await further rulings that will determine the management and eventual distribution of the late politician’s extensive estate.
