Police arrest three suspected kidnappers linked to Akure CCTV abduction

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspects linked to a recent kidnap incident that was captured on CCTV in Oda, Akure, rescuing three victims in the process.
Disclosing the development via a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, revealed that the arrest followed the circulation of a viral video showing the process of abduction.
According to the police, the command swiftly activated its intelligence unit, deploying digital surveillance tools to track down the suspects.
“Upon receiving the footage, the Command immediately activated its intelligence team, leveraging digital surveillance analysis and coordinated field operations to identify and apprehend the suspects,” the statement read.
The police further indicated that the arrest of one of the suspects led to the capture of two others allegedly involved in the crime.
Western Post confirmed that the suspects include Mohammed Koro, 27; Muhammad Usman, 30; and Musa Alhaji, 23.
Confirming the release of three victims, the Command reiterated its unwavering commitment to combating crime and criminality, emphasizing that Ondo State will not be a safe haven for criminals.
