The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday led members of the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) on visits to Borno and Yobe States to offer condolences and support following recent disasters in the region.

In a disclosure by Felix Morka, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Ganduje met with Governor Babagana Zulum in Borno State to express the party’s sympathy over the devastating floods caused by the collapse of the Alau Dam.

The floods destroyed property, farmlands, and public infrastructure, severely impacting livelihoods in Maiduguri and surrounding areas.

In Yobe State, Ganduje extended his condolences to Governor Mai Mala Buni and the people of Yobe over a recent terrorist attack in Mara village, Tarmuwa Local Government Area, which claimed the lives of several innocent residents.

During the visits, Ganduje assured both governors that the federal government remains committed to providing humanitarian assistance to the flood victims in Borno and taking necessary actions to prevent future attacks in Yobe.

He also emphasized that efforts are underway to bring the perpetrators of the Yobe attack to justice.
