Girlfriend stabs lover to death in Ondo

Tragedy struck in Okitipupa, Ondo State, as a 25-year-old man, Micheal Ikuedowoni, was reportedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend, identified as Augustina Mowari, during a heated dispute allegedly triggered by suspicions of cheating.

According to reports, the incident occurred after an argument broke out between the duo, following allegations that Ikuedowoni was in love with another woman.

The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the incident.

In a statement issued on Monday, the command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the suspect had been taken into custody.

“An argument broke out between both parties, and she brought out scissors to stab the boy before he died.

“So, the lady is in custody, and we shall charge the case to court after our investigation,” the police spokesman added.

Recall that WESTERN POST had reported the death of an undergraduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Joy Adeyemi, allegedly killed by her boyfriend just two days earlier.
