The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has asked the new executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) within the state to work harder and create a fair playing field for all aspirants at the coming party primaries.
Speaking in Ilorin at the swearing-in ceremony of the state executives on Wednesday, AbdulRazaq congratulated the excos on their emergence, while describing the party as a very big house which requires constant hard work to remain tall.
He further went on to admonish the newly elected excos to work with all interested candidates fairly in order to harmonize ideas for a better state.
“Once again, I say, congratulations to you all. You have done well and that’s why there was a consensus to support you to continue,” the Governor said.
“Your work is cut out for you. In the next few months, you will face a lot of pressure from party members because the primaries are coming and people have various interest. Each person who wants to contest has his or her own plans for the state. They all have a lot to offer to the state. Try to give them a levelled playing field in whatever you do. All we are trying to do here is to make sure that we leave the state better than how we met it,” he added.
Reacting to the governor’s remark, the newly elected Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, appreciated Governor AbdulRazaq for his continuous contribution to the party and assured of his loyalty and fairness to all.
