Gov Abdulrazaq congratulates new NIA, DSS Chiefs
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has congratulated the newly appointed Directors-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS), describing them as great professionals and wishing them successful tenures.
The governor said the appointment of seasoned diplomat Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, an indigene of Lafiagi, to lead the NIA opens another promising chapter in the agency’s history.
The governor’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Monday.
He commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing the Kwara-born diplomat, who was, until his appointment, the head of the Nigerian mission to Sudan.
Governor AbdulRazaq also praised the appointment of Mr. Adeola Ajayi, a senior operative with extensive experience in handling sensitive operations, to head the DSS at this time.
He called for support from all stakeholders for the new appointees and prayed to the Almighty God to grant the new Directors-General the wisdom to achieve greater feats and enhance national security.
