Gov AbdulRazaq mourns death of Awujale, Oba Adetona

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended heartfelt condolences to the people and government of Ogun State over the passing of the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

In a condolence message issued on Monday by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor described the Awujale as a towering cultural figure and a symbol of unity, honour, and dignity, whose reign transformed royal leadership in the country.

He hailed the late monarch’s courage, vision, and the prestige he brought to Ijebuland during his over six decades on the throne, noting that his legacy remains unmatched in modern traditional leadership.

Governor AbdulRazaq also commiserated with Governor Dapo Abiodun, the people of Ijebuland, and the immediate family of the revered royal father.

He urged them to take solace in the enduring impact of the Awujale’s leadership and his contributions to cultural preservation and national unity.

The Governor prayed to Allaah to grant the late monarch eternal rest and admit him into Al-Jannah Firdaus.
