Gov Abdulrazaq pledges N20M to families of slain soldiers’ in hospital visit

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has announced N20 million support for each of the soldiers who lost their lives in a recent counterterrorism operation, and N5 million each for those injured, describing their sacrifices as priceless.

The governor made the announcement during a visit to six soldiers receiving treatment after sustaining injuries in an operation in Kaiama Local Government Area of the state.

The operation, which led to a fierce encounter between troops and suspected terrorists, reportedly resulted in the elimination of several insurgents.

However, three soldiers lost their lives in the exchange, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

During the visit, AbdulRazaq expressed concern over the condition of the wounded personnel and wished them a speedy recovery.

He also commended the quality of care and facilities at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, where the soldiers are being treated.

The governor noted that the hospital remains one of the key projects of his administration aimed at improving healthcare delivery in the state.

He further thanked the security forces for their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property, reaffirming his administration’s support for their welfare and operations.
