Gov Makinde makes fresh appointments in Oyo

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved a fresh round of appointments into various positions in the state government, including the Oyo State Elders’ Council and several advisory and executive roles.

The governor appointed the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, and former member of the Oyo State Advisory Council, Pastor Akin Alamu, as a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.

Makinde also appointed Elijah Kolawole Akanmu as special adviser on Housing and a board member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was named special adviser on Rural Development.

According to appointment letters signed by the Chief of Staff to the governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, Yinka Oladoyinbo was appointed executive assistant on Information and Orientation, while Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa and Dapo Falade were named senior special assistants on Information and Orientation.

In addition, Hon. Seun Adelore was appointed senior special assistant on Chieftaincy Matters, while the former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, Hon. Gbenga Adewusi, was named executive assistant to the Sports Commission.

Meanwhile, Ogundele Quadri was appointed special assistant on Urban Development, Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, was named special assistant on Culture and Tourism, while Ibrahim Abayomi was appointed executive assistant on Works.

The appointments span several sectors of the state administration, with the new appointees expected to support the implementation of the government’s programmes and policies in their respective areas of responsibility.

Makinde charged the newly appointed officials to discharge their duties with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State. Western Post confirmed that the appointments take immediate effect.
