Governor Makinde to commission Ibadan Circular Road in February

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced that the first phase of the Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road, covering 32 kilometres, will be commissioned in February 2026.
The announcement was made during the unveiling of the official logo for the state’s 50th anniversary celebrations at the State Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Governor Makinde thanked individuals and groups who have contributed to the state’s development since its creation. He highlighted his administration’s focus on medium- and long-term development strategies to advance infrastructure and growth in Oyo State.
Despite economic challenges nationwide, the governor expressed confidence that the state would continue to record progress in the coming years.
At the ceremony, the Oyo State @50 Committee Chairman, Hon. Saheed Fijabi, assured residents that the golden jubilee celebration would be inclusive and forward-looking.
The event also featured the release of 50 golden balloons and the presentation of a ₦1.5 million cash prize to the designer of the logo.
