Governor Makinde visits Olubadan-designate Ladoja

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Wednesday visited the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.

The visit followed Oba Ladoja’s return to the city after his formal nomination as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.

Makinde had earlier approved September 26, 2025, for Ladoja’s coronation at Mapo Hall.

Confirming the date, the monarch’s media aide, Chief Adeola Oloko, said the installation ceremony would mark the beginning of a new era for Ibadan.

The Olubadan-designate also met with members of the Olubadan-in-Council on Tuesday in his first official engagement with the kingmakers.
