Erling Haaland scored twice to take his Premier League goal tally for Manchester City to 120 as the champions secured a 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.
Phil Foden and Daizen Maeda exchanged early goals before the Norwegian striker took centre stage.
Haaland headed home in the 34th minute before firing in a second-half effort to extend City’s lead.
Zian Flemming converted a late penalty to set up a tense finish, but City held on to maintain their 100 per cent league record this season.
Meanwhile, Alexander Isak scored the winning goal as Liverpool came from behind to beat 10-man Brentford 2-1.
Keane Lewis-Potter put the hosts ahead with a finish from an Igor Thiago assist, but Yehor Yarmoliuk’s 44th-minute red card shifted the momentum in Liverpool’s favour.
The Reds capitalised on their numerical advantage, with Victor Munoz equalising in the 62nd minute before Isak completed the comeback eight minutes later.
