Ibadan North by-election: PDP’s Oyekunle wins polling unit with wide margin

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency by-election, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, popularly known as “DoN,” has won his polling unit by a convincing margin.

At Ward 4, Unit 12, St. John Primary School, Oyekunle secured 79 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate polled 29.

The result highlights Oyekunle’s strong grassroots support, as residents turned out in large numbers despite earlier concerns over voter apathy.

Supporters of the PDP candidate celebrated the outcome, describing it as evidence of the people’s confidence in his leadership.

Attention now shifts to the collation centre, where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will announce the official results for the entire constituency.
