Veteran juju and gospel singer Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi has refuted claims of his death.
The celebrated musician affirmed that he is alive, strong, and healthy.
In a video posted on his official Instagram account on Tuesday morning, the 83-year-old entertainer dismissed the rumour with one of his popular songs.
Singing in Yoruba, English, and Pidgin, he described the news as false.
“Hello, my name is Professor Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi,” he began, before singing: “Satan, you don lose o, Satan, you don lose o, you don pafuka. Na lie lie you dey talk, you don pafuka.”
He then added, “It is fake news that started a few hours ago, claiming that I, Evangelist Obey, have passed on to glory. It is a lie. I am alive, and that is not the word Jesus has written about me.”
