INEC issues certificate of return to APC’s Yusuf Musa as Kwara Assembly member-elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued certificate of return to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Odo-Ogun/Oyun 1 State constituency, Yusuf Musa as the rightful winner of the 2023 House of Assembly election.

WesternPost reports that the Court of Appeal on November 28th declared the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Taiye Afolabi unqualified to contest in the election.

The Court, however directed INEC to withdraw his certificate of return and issue the certificate to Musa of the APC.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Kwara state, Mal. Muhammed Abubakar, on Wednesday presented the certificate of return to Musa as member-elect.
